Interesting combination. I didn't know that they were touring together. I've seen them both on their own...years ago. In fact we were supposed to see Huey Lewis on August 14, 2003, the night of that big blackout that covered parts of the US and Canada. The show had to be postponed to a later date...and on the new date there was a big storm here and a blackout at the casino he was playing at! LOL! But that one was short and the show went on.

But I digress...both Huey and Joe were excellent in concert when I saw them. I would go to see them both again.

I gotta say, IMO Savoy Brown is way better than Joe Cocker or Huey Lewis, if you've ever seen them. Cocker at Woodstock was fun cause you just didn't know what he was gonna do next. Good call on Steve Hackett. I think he's underreated.

I'm referring to your "time machine"...........Simmonds is no young pup either.

Simmonds may be "way better" than Huey Lewis or Joe Cocker.........let's compare their bank accounts.

Steve Hackett is very good; his DVD, TOKYO TAPES is one of my favorites.............I watch it often and see something new and impressive each time...........what a band :

I know I've added much more to Kim Simmonds bank account judging by the amount of CD's in my collection. I see that his tour is making a local stop, maybe I'll borrow your time machine and check it out.

Just to let you all know.............I have returned from the magic of New Mexico and I have a few thoughts on the concert..........

Huey Lewis has lost his power..........he is struggling to sing his hits..........great band, great personality, has a lot of fun with the audience. Best part of this act for me is the horn section...........which, BTW, included a bari-sax that just honked !

Joe Cocker is still getting it done; he never could sing so nothing has really changed..........this is a grandaddy rock show.........he looks old...........someone in the crowd behind me said he is 67 years old...........that would have put him at Woodstock 42 years ago at age 25..........sounds about right.
Good band, lots of history...........a legend that can still put on a concert.
