    Christmas Albums

For the past several holiday seasons I've been loading the 5-disc changer with the same 5 Christmas albums:
    Charlie Brown
    Phil Spector
    Yule Struttin' (jazzz)
    Christmas Cocktails (lounge)
    Esquivel

This year I'm adding Ventures Christmas and Christmas with the Rat Pack, but I could use a couple more. What are your favorite Christmas albums?

I am recently liking Blackmores Night - Winter Carols
Old standby's are the old GRP Christmas Collection on cassette
and as mentioned in the post by JoeB, the Canadian Royal Navy - Stadacona Band disk they did several years ago. I think Joe does a little percussion work on it.

Here's a couple of my favorites that fall right into a vintage vein.

Pops Christmas Party with Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops on RCA Living Stereo reissue. Some traditional stuff mixed with some light classical. Great music and sound.

Also, Louis Armstrong & Friends: What a wonderful Christmas by on Hip-O. Some surprising gems on this one.

Wait until you hear Eartha Kitt doing "Santa Baby". You'll never hear that song the same again. Louie's "Cool Yule" with The Commodores is killer, too.

My favorite Christmas songs are mainly ancient traditional songs and I have a pretty good collection of these. They are all ripped to computer file and I play them randomly by track.

A few of my favorite albums are ...
