I guess you can't delete an opening post. I would delete this if I could. The benefit show is for a good cause and I'm sure that they'll raise a lot of money. But...as far as entertainment value goes...it's very disappointing. As my husband said, "it's got a pretty high suckage factor, eh?".

    Hey Snowy!!!!
Great to hear from you. Take off your coat and stay awhile.

Did you see the Trailer Park Boys with Alex Lifeson on it? It's a classic.

Up to the top you go!

Greetings, fellow female. We're about as rare as a Canadian Bush supporter around these parts.

I'm not really much of a fan of The Trailer Park Boys, although I am fascinated by the growing girth of the guy with the sideburns!

Tell Barry to hang on to that little bunny. It was a limited edition and I'm sure it will gain in value soon!

I see you are also a fan of ummm... oh crapola... The Northside Benches guy. Cough, cough... Jim somebody. I guess you can see that I am too.

I sent a sample to a fellow-boarder that I used to think had good taste, but I think he turned it into a coaster soon after receiving it! Did you see him live?

    Ciao!

But coasters are the absolute hippest way to show appreciation! Well, that and to lie and say you actually like it.....http://forums.audioreview.com/showth...yson#post16956

Hey Snowy. Yes, it's been difficult being the only Canadian Chick around here. I've been doing my best to keep up our reputation of being the coolest chicks on the planet, but it's been hard to do without you...I'm really not all that cool on my own and it's a lot of responsibility for just one person.

I'm not a big Trailer Park Boys fan myself. But Hubby finds it amusing. I think it's definately a guy thing. Like the Three Stooges on the wrong side of the tracks or something.

I saw Jim Bryson live once. About 1.5 years ago now. He had an ear infection and apologized to the audience that he wasn't in top form. I'd like to see him again when he is in top form. He used to play around here a lot, but I have heard or seen anything of him in a long time. Maybe he returned to Ottawa...his home town.

There's a new Canadian band that I'm quite enjoying. They are called Boy. Very retro pop. They remind me of quite a bit of Jet. Lots of fun tunes with good hooks. Obvious Beatles and Byrd influences. They're starting to get a fair bit of airplay around here (love those Canadian content rules!). Have you heard them?

Haven't heard Boy yet, but it sounds like something I might like. Got any links? I'm afraid to do a google search of Boy Band. Have you heard the CBC Radio program 50 Tracks? This year they're doing a Canadian only Essential Pop Songs List.

Seriously? I can't say that I've ever considered Stairway to Heaven, Smells Like Teen Spirit, or God Save the Queen (either the Sex Pistols or the serious version) as pop songs!

I've never heard of that show. I don't listen to CBC radio. It just doesn't rock out enough for me.

Go here and click on "launch album sampler" to hear Boy. http://www.boytheband.com/discography.html
