off topic: “Wtoolsa" Windows error message???

For the past few days I've been getting this Windows pop-up error message on my home pc:

“Wtoolsa” followed by the text “this program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists call the vendor”

If I select the DETAILS icon, I get:

WTOOLSA caused an invalid page fault in
    module KERNEL32.DLL at 0187:bff76723.

    Stack dump:

I can shut the message down, but a few seconds later it pops up again. I did an online search on the text “Toolsa windows error message” and came up with a bunch of info, but it’s all beyond my level of pc expertise. Looks like a common suggestion is to run Spybot software. Has anyone run into this situation before, or have any advice here? Keep in mind that my pc trouble shooting skills are limited.

I hope you keep your spyware, anti-virus, and Windows Update software up to date. They should be updated weekly.

There were 2 "Wintools" files in add/remove programs. I will mess around with them when I have some free time. Thanks for the tip!

Damn! I had the same problem! Weird! It took me a couple days to get that damn software off my pc.. it kept these constant processes running in the background and kept spiking my usage up to 100% every few seconds. I could not remove it through the Uninstall Wizard, it kept giving me some message about other ad-based software running. So I finally just booted up in Safe Mode and deleted all the files manually. Seems to have done the trick. Looks like this thing is pretty out of hand with many people!

Oh and Rick.. thanks for the comp! I'll post some comments after I get a chance to spin it a few times.
