    Bowling for Soup

Has anyone heard the song 1985 by Bowling for Soup?

From the samples on their web site, this is a thick bubble-gum pop band. Not bad if you like that kind of sound. It's the kind of thing that I would get sick of after one or two listens. But...I heard 1985 on the radio and was killing myself laughing! I know this woman!!!

Tiffany just hit the wall, she never had it all.
    One Prozac a day. Husband's a CPA.
Her dreams went out the door, when she turned 24.
Only been with one man. What happened to her plan?

She was gonna be an actress. She was gonna be a star.
She was gonna shake her ass on the hood of Whitesnake's car.
Her yellow SUV is now the enemy.
Looks at her average life and nothing has been all right, since...

    Chorus:
    Springsteen, Madonna, way before Nirvana.
There was U2 and Blondie and music still on MTV
Her two kids in high school tell her that she's uncool,
'Cause she's still preoccupied with 1985.

She's seen all the classics. She knows every line.
Breakfast Club; Pretty In Pink; even St. Elmo's Fire
She rocked out to Wham, not a big Limp Bizkit fan.
Thought she'd get a hand on a member of Duran Duran.

Where's the mini-skirt made of snakeskin.
Who's the other guy singing in Van Halen?
    When did reality become TV?
What ever happened to Sitcom's; Gameshow's, on the radio.

    Chorus

She hates ? (can't figure this word out). Make it stop.
When did Motley Crue become classic rock?
And when did Ozzy become an actor?
Please make this stop. stop. stop.
    And bring back...

    Chorus.

I've heard it twice and that's enough. The first time was really funny, but it lost it's appeal the second time around. If you want to hear it, go here. http://www.bowlingforsoup.com

The video is a CLASSIC!!!! At the end they dress up like Motley Crue circa 1985 (Theatre of Pain era) and I believe it's actually Tawny Kittaen on top of the car. Its a great vid, song is funny the first couple times but thats it. The video adds to it allot.
