It's not much different than the previous two, which I think kind of congealed his current sound, but it's warmer and happier overall than anything I've heard from him before. I'd attribute some of it to the sympathetic backing from the Lambchop guys cause it does have some of that slighly lusher cosmopolitan sound they're known for. I'd liken it to Luna's last album, Romantica, compared to some of their earlier ones. Same style but just a warmer sound and very infectious. The songs sound so simple and effortless, but at the same time you're concious that there's quite a bit going on to fill up the soundfield. Very easy to like on a multitude of levels and heartily recommended to all.
