Any 2010 releases to look forward to...

I haven't purchased any new music yet this year. Been waiting with baited breath for the new one from Midlake called The Courage Of Others (gawd I love The Trials Of Van Occupanther). I almost hope they go in a completely different direction cuz I can't imagine them topping Van Occupanther.

There is also news of a new Echolyn release this year.

What else do I have to look forward to in the coming weeks/months?

I was just hearing about a new Devo too...weird

I've pre-ordered the new Shearwater - The Golden Archipelago and
Joanna Newsom - Have One On Me ...I'm on the edge of seat for this one. I know she's high on the love-it or hate-it scale but I think this one'll be slightly more approachable (there's a few new tunes on YouTube)
plan on picking up the Chris Knox tribute too
Erykah Badu - next New Amerykah lp (March?)
    Panda Bear - Tomboy (Sept.?)

and of course, DIE, CHIHUAHUA DIE! due in August (no idea, but if I see a 7" of theirs, it'll be mine)

Devo eh? I haven't been interested in anything they've done since '82s Oh No! It's Devo! which hasn't held up as well as what came before it.

    Made me chuckle though.
I call my bathroom Jim instead of John so I can tell people that I go to the Jim first thing every morning.

I was looking forward to the new Spoon cd...

...and am listening to it for the first time as I type this. Pretty darned good so far. Picked it up yesterday at Best Buy for about $10. I usually don't look for cds there, but I needed a new optical mouse for my laptop and took a minute to see if they had anything decent on sale, and there it was.

I know there's another one I'm forgetting, but it's been a hectic week/month what with moving and selling our restaurant/coffee shop, so my brain is fried. Time for a glass of grape juice.

    Clipd Beaks, huh?

I'm hoping that the fact that Jonathan Richman is touring means a new album. I could also use a new Jens Lekman release. I have no idea if either of those are in the works.

This link is to a thread where a post covers a ton of new stuff, or at least from within the past year or so. Very positive and enthusiastic, detailed with links to youtube, etc.

Wow... that mxlx3 person spent all farking day creating that post. Remarkable.

I notice that s/he gives a big shout out to Florence + The Machine. I'm not a fan, but my daughter is getting into that disc big-time. It has its moments.

Massive Attack's new album coming out in a few days. Hopefully a new album from Amy Winehouse?
I think Daft Punk is coming out with something new too.
