I listened to the Aural Audio headphone amplifier at the 2004 CES show in Las Vegas. It was the by far best sounding headphone amp at the show. I believe it sounds great because it uses pure Class A technology for the amp and preamp. To my knowledge this is the only company available that uses Class A technology in a headphone amp.

Unlike other headphone amps, this unit is warm and detailed without the digital harshness. It also helps isolate you from your room and enables you to hear details that just can’t be heard with a full range system. I kind of makes me want to sell my full range system.

The build quality is superb. It is made of ½” aluminum plates which makes it very heavy.

Finally - a headphone amp that rivals the best sound reproductive systems available. Thanks for being the innovator in this field Aural Audio.

Hey unregistered, I too was at the CES show in Vegas. I happened to cross paths with one of the ladies from Aural Audio and found out they manufacturer in Illinois, right down state from me.
I bought the Audition also and love it. In fact, with a little nudge, they sent me an amp as well as a DAC. Great stuff, highly recommend it.
