Do really think a war with Syria would be a smart thing to do?

Smart maybe for political reasons.

The truely smart thing to do would be to bring the troops home, but then we would not be 'banded together' in this war on terrorism, and might notice that the current administration is not doing right by us. The current administrations job is to blind us with hatred of others, so we 'pay no attention to the man behind the curtain'.

Unfortunately it is too late to bring the troops home before the mission is complete. That would certainly signal a lack of resolve and a willingness to finish a job we started, wightly or wrongly. We fled Beirut, we left Somaila, and so many other places.
