    All are welcome!

The PS3 is set up in the living room for all gamers to play. Motorstorm ROCKS the house 24/7 lately. Ratchet and Clank should be here starting tonight. Tennis is fun for some as well. There are tons of DVD's to watch but only one each of BR and HD-DVD's to view as yet.
There is a second HT room set up in the master bedroom, but it only has a 92 inch screen. The ladies usually head there to sing karaoke. This leaves the main room open to switch to football if we like. The basement gets a little chilly in December, but we could set up some space heaters if anyone wants to play pool. The 2 channel system down there is made up of DIY speakers and an 80W receiver from the 70's. It's not much, but has the tightest base in the house. The best part is that the second fridge is down there filled with wine and beer.

Marisa is making her world famous egg rolls. (they are nothing like the egg rolls you would get at a Chinese restaurant. more like a spring roll, but not) I'll be baking cakes and pies along with Bert's incredible lemon tart. Maybe we could talk him into making a few of his favorites as well. Lets all ask nicely. I call out to LJ to help with the steaks. Who else wants to help out? Maybe if everyone who comes brings one dish we'll bet good to go. Each person should bring their favorite holiday dish. We'll all have a blast trying out each others treats.

    Who's in?

    Jingle Bells Jingle bells...
Whew! I was beginning to think I worded this wrong. *Holiday* party instead of Christmas party would have been more politically correct (just like the Holiday trees you see in the dept. store ads)

Okay, I'll be in the bedroom with the gals (I can Karaoke to a lot of Patti Smith's songs), but when I'm done with them, I'll come out and watch the football games. Be forewarned though GM, if the Eagles game is on, it'll be all I can do to keep myself from throwing my Boddingtons ale can at the screen.

I'll bring some famous Texas chilli that'll warm everybody up. How many bathrooms in your house? :cornut:

Should we all bring along our systems ?

now that would bring an awesome lot of speakers :)

    Keep them spinning,

It's all just a cyber party.

    Tex,

The Eagles seem to always be on around here. Frickin' cable company even pre-empts my Giants games when they are on at the same time. We're 60 miles from NYC and about 200 miles from Philly, but since we are 500 feet into PA......

Bert & Bernd, sorry for the mix up.
Yeah, anyone who wants to bring systems, can. Plenty of room in the pool room.

Oh come on Audio, it's not that far. Get out the water wings and swim for it.

Come on guys (and FA), who's bringing what to the party. I want lists of food, snacks, drinks, equipment and guests.

Beer? Sorry, but you can not drink beer in my house till you hit 21. But you can have as much cyber beer as you like.
The tarts are welcome, and we'll take good care of your gear while it's here. You and Jes will be in charge of setting it up together. Bring any music you like as well.

in a couple years our pc's will be out of date, but we'll still be able to play new games, albeit at lesser detail levels. in a couple of years your 360 might still be kick ass, but no new games will be released for it :)

    ??

The 360 is designed for a minimum 5 year cycle. Its now #2. At least 3 more before the next gen is announced. 4 more before MS will kill development for the 360. And in 4 years the games will play BETTER than now.

In 4 years, your PC will start on fire trying to play games designed then.

Do you mean... how do I like dem sour grapes? :cornut:

Right now I'm running a Core 2 Duo, but I can upgrade to Quad core at any time. 4 gig of memory expansion, a current RAID 0 array with two 160GB WD Caviars and I'm good to go (We won't talk about my video card :nonod: ). Don't mean to brag but just in case PS sees this, I'll have gotten the first salvo in before he chimes in with his Dirty Mac.

Time for a LAN party Bert? The only new title I have right now is STALKER, but I've got Half-Life 2, Diablo, Halo, CS source and MS Flight Sim 2005? loaded. OH, and how could I forget... Doom 3!

Actually, I secretly agree with you. Unfortunatly I don't have the money to keep up with the PC crowd. I'm playing on a 2 year old machine, with 1 gig ram, and a GT7800 Nvidia card ( best I can get, I don't have PCIexpress).

However, I must confess unless its a driving game, or flight simulator, I've been impressed with the 360. The driving games are getting really good, I just gotta spring for the FF wheel.

Anyway we is way off topic.

GM, I'll bring some holiday beer I brewed. Its a wheat with a orange twist, and a hint of clove. Its growing on me, and I think everyone would enjoy.

if you could get a really long lan cable, then we could try to :cornut:

    Seriously...
How is STALKER? I've been looking at that game for a long time, but I've given up after the third year it was delayed :)

    Yes, and, yes.

What are you bringing? Some LOST DVD's maybe? Or a Rush DVD or two? Got any SACD's? Two players in the house.

Come to think of it, I have a friend with a Wii. He can set that up in bedroom number 2. The TV in there is only a 32 inch, but it will add to the gaming theme.
    PS3 in the living room.
Xbox 360 in the 1st bedroom
    Wii in the 2nd.
    PC in the 3rd.
    Billiards in the basement.
    Cat-N-Mouse in every room.

I'm not so sure I now want to attend. What kind of party is this? First there are concerns about Santa and his "feelings", and now you have a friend who wants others to play with his "Wii".

We could run a Lost Marathon on one of the TVs. The S3 DVDs are out next Tuesday (YIPPEE!!!!), but in the meantime I have all of S3 on VHS. Or I can bring my Rush collection if you'd like. I've got a pretty extensive music DVD collection, but it's mostly prog and metal bands. More geared towards a different kind of party if you get my drift.

As for food, I'll whip up a few batches of my famous Egg Nog Cookies. After partying up for those prog DVDs we're bound to have a good case of the munchies.

You can join in on (or not join in) any (legal) activity you like inside the house. Anything you do off the property is your business. But anyone who has a drink must turn in their car keys. They will be returned when the time is right. 2BDtermained by my wifey.
By the way, what games are you bringing? I don't think that I've watched more than an hour of TV since this stupid PS3 thing showed up. I have a new addiction.:incazzato:
