    A mammoth subwoofer

If you are what industry insiders call "subwoofer poor", then this subwoofer might be right up your alley.

Pro Audio Technology just introduce their new subwoofer LFC-24sm that weighs a whopping 266 pounds. About 88 pounds of that is the sub’s 24-inch driver, which has a sensitivity rating of 99dBSPL.

With 1000 watts of power to back up this beast, it measure 60.5" x 26" x 21". Other features include four front-firing ports and a suite of in-room performance calibration controls, including parametric EQ and delay.

    Only 129 db capability?

Nah. I'll take one of Tom Danley's Tapped Horn subs good for 146 db continuous.

That thing need its own power station

That is a big subwoofer. I imagine using these monster subwoofers is not feasable for home use as one might crack the walls. Not to mention stomach churning.
