Can you guys tell me how much to offer on this player? It's a Pioneer DV-578. I am hoping for a poor man's player to try out the format.

its from London, if you're from there, fine, otherwise it might be incompatible with
    usage in the US.

hey pop" seems they always gets you with that (London ON thing)

about the Pioneer DV-578 I would not offer more than thirty bucks in the US if its working to (your) specs.

I had the DV-563 which is the same thing, the 578 is a little newer it replaced the 563 in a month or two after the 563 arrives, they all came out late 2003 or early 2004 list at $200 but were down to <> $80 in no time. that said I'm sure you can exercise good judgement in that regards, hope that helps man.

Thanks Winston. I suspect in it's condition he won't go as low as 30. I will bounce 50 off of him. I have read it plays video really well, and SACD's ok. I am trying to make some changes in my H/T.
