Unhappy Sony HT-C800 - component video is B&W

    I have recently received an all-in-one DVD/receiver.

When I hook up the unit via component video cables (set to interlaced) to my JVC TV, via the 3 component video cables, the DVD output comes out in Black & White. Output via the video cable is in colour, but obviously I would like the quality of the component cables.

    Any suggestions?

My friend has a JVC TV and its component video input can be set either as component or composite via a set up menu. Bet that's the problem as my friend's TV was factory set to composite.
