    receiver recommendations?

i have 200$ that i can spend on a receiver or a HTiB.

I think ide rather get a better receiver now, and buy a speaker set up in the future. this way i can get a decent but good receiver instead of a receiver+speakers on the low end.

Right now im using an old receiver. i dont know how old it is or brand right now, its in back room and its sleeping time hehe. It even has 8-track on it, last time i tested with 8-track it still worked. My speakers are a pair of 12" Fishers dont know model now.

I am no audiophile, mostly used for watching movies, dont listen to much music but when i do i like bass.

Ive looked at a few for now. Would you recommend one of these in my price range, or something else? (nothing used)

hehe thanks. looked into refurbs and there are some H/K ones in my price range with full warranty. AVR 125/130. i just checked now and the 130 is not on the website anymore, but its on ebay now so ill keep an eye on that.

I also looked at Onkyo/Denon refurbs but the warranties are not so good. 30-90days only.

The Pioneer i kinda like better though because of the connections in the back and in the future if i need higher output it has the preouts for the other speakers instead of just the sub.
Going to go check out reviews for it now and see what people say about it.

Soo many receivers, ive spent the past few nights looking over and over new/refurbed receivers reading reviews searching forums. finally came down to that H/K if i dont find anything else.

    Thanks for replies.

I have the HK AVR130 (two of them actually), which i bought as remanufactured units. one was from harmanaudio.com, and the other i got off of their outlet store on ebay.

Fantastic units!!! considering you can get them for around $200, they are a steal.
