I guess that either those Denon players have yet to make it to Mo Town or they sold out or what not. At least there are several other locations to check if you're in the Bay Area on Wednesday.
I called Fremont Costco this morning and got a run down of which stores had the Denon in stock. Nothing in the valley or Livermore. I had my mom grab one for me at the Fremont store. She said they only had 3 left. This is a great find since I was already looking to purchase a cheap player

Cool! Glad that you were able to get your hands on one. When I spotted the Denons on Friday night, there were at least 12 of them in stock, and the stack was down to 6 by the time I bought mine on Sunday.

I'm happy with being able to play my SACDs again, and the DVD picture quality is very good. Disappointing to see that Denon still can't design a coherent user interface or owner's manual, but at $70 this is a bargain and I'm not gonna complain.

Would have been sweet if this unit could output DSD via HDMI. I would have considered replacing my 2910 with it. I'll probably grab a Oppo eventually to take some of the load of my PS3. My 2910 has been collecting dust since the PS3 came along

The Denon will look great in my 2nd system sitting next to my 2805 & DCM-380. Can't remember the last time I had 3 matching components in the same rack.

Only thing I need now is a cheap flat panel for occasional use in my 2nd system. Like dirt cheap, no more than 27". Vizio? Thoughts?

I got this DVD player also to take the load off the PS3. Nothing wears out a player like Baby Einstein videos running on repeat play! Had to move my original Denon player into the play room when the Toshiba player in there broke down.

Costco's coupon deal for this month was $350 for a 32" Sceptre model. But, from their website I now see that Costco brought in some Proscan models -- 32" LCD on special for $330 and 26" for $280. The price on the 32" model is cheaper than the 26" Vizio. Be aware that Proscan is now just a licensed brand used by a third party outsourcer. They're no longer a premium brand for RCA like they were in the 90s.

Now that my daughter's climbing onto the TV rack, I feel safer with a higher wall-mounted TV, so we're also looking at 32" TVs. Thought about the Panny LCDs because they have better off-angle viewing, or the Samsungs. But, those TVs cost around $500, so I'm basically waiting for another deal to pop up.
