I see your point very well, Worfster. I too would rather have the better video and up conversion.

But I do have quite a few SACDs. It that were my priority I'd to go for the BDP-83 anyway because only the '83 has DSD analog output. And if analog, then I'd probably feel compelled to go to the 'SE' version, (not Lexicon's ).
