    Need help (possible new receiver)

I have a chance to purchase a Yammie rxv540 the problem is I can't seem to find any reviews on it!!

The cost price is $649cad on sale for $499cad. the other catch to all this I would be getting ridd of the WAF (the bose am6III in the bedroom) my wife has agreed to sell it.

Now I need some info on this receiver it has all I need and more
    80 w into 6 high current
component video switch as well as S and composite
vidoe conversion between comp and Svideo
    enough imputs and outputs

But no reviews, not suer if the model numbers varie per country??

Please hlpe me out with any review info, links or personal experiences

    Thanks

    Just a suggestion

You might also consider checking out the HTR-5650 unit offered by Yamaha. Essentially the same unit as the RX-V540. Both don't have pre-outs, but I assume you aren't looking for them.

I know some people with them...They are solid little performers. You might take a look at ebay and buy something used that's actually a bit better. Denon, and H/K also have decent gear in your price range.
    Cheers
