Thanks Eric Z, I just got back from the store and my new tv will arrive Monday. I might have to call in sick that day.

As for saving for retirement, where I work we get a pension amount taken off each cheque whether we like it or not and my employer matches by 1.5. I'm pretty much set for a full pension by age 60, plus I can also start collecting my CPP. But I'm not relying totally on my work pension and my CPP, I still contribute a couple thousand dollars a year into an RRSP.
