Need help connecting components together..

I just purchased an Onkyo SR601 receiver and need a little help connecting it to my Tivo / DVD and to my TV. Do I just follow the directions as if my Tivo were a Cable box?

I now us an integrated Satelite box with DVR.

When I had TIVO, I had the incoming satelite signal go thorough the satelite box and then pass through TIVO and then to the receiver for audio production and video switching. The only downside was that I had to change channels at the TIVO and that sent a signal to the Satelite box through an infrared sensor on the front. Sometimes it did not change channels. Got a little frustrating.
