Denon DVD900 Soundgate?

When i use the subject DVD player to play audio CDs - there is a noticable

pause


before the music starts and it starts a few notes into the first measure...

Is there a fix for this (that does not involve some high speed ballistics )?

Could be your laser is out of alignment or hardware issues. Apparently there were some known problems with that unit that were corrected with the newer 910. Honestly it would cost you more to have it repaired than that entry level model is even worth. I would chuck it and buy a Marantz. Denon owns them and I feel their universal players beat Denons at similar price points; especially in the reliability department from what I'm told by dealers who sell both. If you want to stay in that price range go compare the Marantz DV4001 to the Denon 910 (or current 757) and see for yourself.
