    Wondering...

Which speakers do you like better? The Cerwin Vegas or the Realistic Mach 2? I've been looking to pick up some "party" speakers.

    Thanks,
    Roy

The Mach 2s deliver a somewhat more refined (relatively speaking) presentation than the Vegas. While they will both play plenty loud, the 'Vegas are more efficient than the Mach 2s. The 'Vegas require less power to make your pants flap and your ears bleed...

Which do I like better? They both suck, but the Mach 2s suck less.
    Have a great party

Have entered my gear list twice now on the sig page, but it keeps bugging me (and erasing my data) for nonentered fields like name which I don't want to post anyway. Gave up. Here it is. Gotta put in a plug for Bill Dudleston and Bob Carver!

    Anthem AVM-20 preamp
    Carver ancient M-1.0t amplifiers (X3)
    Toshiba SD-9200 DVD-A
Sony nondescript 300 CD changer used for transport only
Kenwood spectrum analyzer/EQ used to watch the pretty lights. Input only... no output.
    Legacy Audio Focus (fronts)
    Legacy Audio Signature III (rears)
Legacy Audio Silver Screen II (front center)
    Legacy Audio Studio (rear center)
    Velodyne HGS-18 sub/earthquake simulator
Sony 36" XBR HD monitor with *no HD signal* :-(
Panasonic VCR that ate the last tape I put in it.
All protected from Alabama Power (Surges) by Panamax
    Xbox
    BDI rack
    Sennheiser HD-600
    Tama Rockstar DX percussion
    Earplugs optional.
    DirecTV when it works.

    Thanks!!!

I thought that might be the case. Alot of people still seem to like their Mach IIs after all these years. Makes it harder to find a pair dirt-cheap though. I'll keep my eyes open.

    Thanks again,
    Roy

    You're welcome.
IMO, the Mach 1s are better than the Mach 2s, FWIW.
