    This Guy
    alright
    Receiver:Marantz SR-5200
    DVD: Samsung 5 disc
Front left and right: Jensen C-7 , put new mid and tweeter in there so now it has a 1" titanium bulet horn tweet and a 3" midrange cone that was lieing around. It the next month or so I'm just gonna buy a Bohlender Graebner planar mid/tweeter to replace the midrange, and maybe I'll put in a bullet as a super tweeter. I'll also get rid of those crappy Jensen woofers and get some nice Goldwoods.
Center:Old optimus cabinet, Goldwood 5" woofer and audax tweeter, I'll see if can put a bullet tweeter in there soon.
Surrounds: DIY 6.5" woofer and Piezo tweeter, the high frequencies sound terrible, so again I'll put in a Bullet.
subwoofer: Not really a subwoofer, but gets me down to the high 30's, it's a folded horn with a 6' path and a 12" driver. Called "The Konk", It was a good PA speaker in the early 80's. It goes extremly loud and if you stand up while playing it loud, if feels like someone is literally punching you in the chest in this 10 by 12' room.
Amplifiers:Old Pioneer bridged to 150 watts for the center speaker. Also I have an Audiosource Amp Three bridged to 400 watts for the subwoofer.
Game systems: PS2 and the Xbox.
TV: 32" RCA, the one with the vport is use for the xbox

Yes i do know i'm very spoiled with having a Dad that would give me the subwoofer, surrounds, and center he made. It also helps having brothers that are willing to help pay a little for some of the equipment.

thanks for posting about the profile...i had ignored that as i've barely been on the site recently.

    Stereo:
    CD: arcam cd62t
Interconnects: taralabs prism 33i (.5 meter)
    Amp: arcam alpha 8r
Cable: linn k20 (about 3.5 meters each)
    Speakers: jmlab chorus 715s

hopefully to add turntable (likely pro/ject rm4) soon.

    Home Theatre:
    Sources:
DVD: Toshiba SD2300 (yup, that's the "nuon enhanced" model, what a gimmick)
    SVHS/VHS: Panasonic PV-VS4820
    CD: Technics SL-PD8

    TV: Toshiba 27A50
    Receiver: Pioneer VSX-D509S
    Mains: Paradigm Monitor 3v2
    Center: Paradigm CC370v2
Rears: JBL SAT135 (little sattelites from a htb type set)
Sub: JBL SUB135 (sub from same set, desperately needs replacing)

Video connections are all Ratshack Gold, and the rest is pretty random. Speaker cable to center is Linn K20 because i have yet to buy new mains cable since my recent split of the ht and 2channel. The Monitor 3s sit on sand filled Sound Organisation Z055s. The center is on 3 pieces of bluetak on top of the tv. We also have a motorola cable digital cable box from comcast. I don't know the model.

    Other random stuff:
    -Sony STR-6045 (vintage stereo receiver)
    -Magnavox CDB560 (early cd player)
    -Technics SA-EX140 (stereo receiver)
-Dual CS5000 (has a ground hum problem, somewhat tweakable)
-Pair of KLH Model Seventeens (60's, sound surprisingly good)
-Onkyo RX-DR511 (dual drawer cd burner, SO many problems, got it fixed a couple times, now it always freezes after about half an hour. have not bothered to fix it since i got a computer cd burner. it is handy for direct copies though.)
-Some Akai reel-to-reel i nabbed from my high school. may have speed problems....i have yet to figure out how to make it work properly.
-Technics SL-DJ1200 (dj/monitor headphones, pretty decent, but i'd like to get some grados for contrast)

Okay, I get it. I had forgotten that you are in the firefighting business (my bad). Fair enough! Nice system you've got. If you don't mind me asking, did you notice a major, or only a slight difference in the sound quality of your Studios when you upgraded to the Adcom amps from whatever you were using before?

    upgrading Adcoms...
Well Major.... the only "upgrade" as far as amps goes is I added another "triple nickle" to bi-amp the 100's...and to be honest I didnt hear any difference at all!...In fact I'm really kinda frustrate at this point.....a friend of mine and I went and listened to a set of Martin Logans...the room kinda was lame...but after listening to them I'm a bit wiggly 'bout my set up.....I'm thinking of moving it all in a bigger room for starts....maybe tomorrow!!...but the Logan had such an awsome sweet spot!!...now I realize that my current set up isn't at all in the same league...but I'm really just trying to squeeeeeeze a bit more outta her! but alas....the journey never ends!! lol ;)
