Most receivers do not calibrate below 80 htz. Base is the hardest part to get right.

Hi. I'm new to this site, and have become interested in this discussion of sub equalization.
A lot of people have written about the BFD, and it is still widely available.
Would using the BFD be possible with my current setup?

NAD C370 integrated amplifier
Polk Monitor 70's (Bi-wired)
Polk PSW505 subwoofer (connected from NAD pre-out 2 with RCA cables)
iPod with dfx enhanced mp3s
Sony DVD/CD player

I understand that a BFD can not be set up without a laptop (or a computer in the HT room). Is that true, or does it just mean that it would need to be set up manualy?
