    Question Sherwood Newcastle Anyone?

    I was just curious if anyone has had any Sherwood NewCastle receivers or amps? A few years back I almost bought one of their high end receivers which had very good reviews.
    I'm just wondering why you never hear anything about their equipment.

    Blackraven; I also do not understand why this company works in such a mesterious realm.
    There was a review of one of their units on homethetermag.com in the receiver section.reviews. I own two non-newcastle sherwoods. The 7500 is not too good, but the 6095R though not as powerful as most out there today is one hell of a unit in playback of D.D. and DTS probably due to the use of a Yamaha 24 bit chip and rather good sounding amplifiers.

    It amazes me that no one here has any newcastle equipment. The 965 and 872 AV receivers are excellent.
