Problem with Monster GameLink 300 S-Video A/V cable

I have the Monster GameLink 300 S-Video A/V cable and a Denon AVR-1802 receiver. I am using the VCR inputs on the receiver for switching convenience. The problem is when the S-Video cable is plugged into the receiver, the audio cables are not long enough to reach the audio inputs. Unfortunately, the AUX. switch on the AVR-1802 does not have an S-Video input on the front panel. Does anyone know what I could do to solve this problem?

Go to Radio Shack and get a longer RCA cable extention?
