    room size

I'm just curious about something. When I look at speaker systems etc...many companies say "this is the perfect speaker for a small to mid-size room" or great for "larger rooms". Well, what is considered a mid-size room in their opinion, etc... I'm just wondering.

That's a good question. I don't know if I've ever heard of dimensions to go along with those descriptions. I have a 16x14 room, and I've always considered it mid-sized.

    In my opinion...

Anything under 225sq ft. is small. Mid-size, I would say 226sq ft to @ 325sq ft, and anything over that is large. I have no idea how a manufacturercomes up with their definitions. Also remember one thing, it's all relative. If you live in a big house and and always have, then what you might consider as small to medium room is most likely going to differ from someone who has lived all his life in a small house.

Check out Audiuo Physics web sight. They are big into room dimensions and which speaker of theirs is best suited for them.
Remember, different isn't always better, but it is different.
Keep things as simple as possible, but not too simple.
Let your ears decide for you!
