6.1 Reciever, 5.1 speakers!

I have a 6.1 reciever but only 5.1 speakers. What media will I see a difference with? Is it only DTS 6.1 DVD disks. What about SACD.DVD-A....will the 6th channel just be blocked out? Thanks for your time.

You can set your receiver to only recognize only the five speakers. Then, the movies that (rarely) used that sixth channel will have that information sent equally to the other two surrounds. You won't miss a thing.

I wasn't aware that SACD and DVD-Audio used the sixth channel so I can't coment on that.
