    Arrow Spielberg Top 5 movies.

For the fifth place, it was a close decision between E.T., Close Encounter of Third Kind and Raiders Of lost Ark. Sorry ET and Close Encounter

Duel (1971): This might be the only movie where an old oily dirty truck is the star.

Jaws (1975): This movie define the word blockbuster.

Jurassic park (1993): Humans as a prey, not a predator.

Munich (2005): Vivid portray of Ghandie's famous quote “Eye for eye make the whole world blind."

Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981): This movie could have made Tom Selleck (first cast as the lead) a super star, but wasn’t meant to be.

    Hey supervision

I seen alot of people include SCHINDLERS LIST in their list of Spielberg top movie. I watched it in the theater and recently on DVD, and somehow didn’t warm up to this movie. May be it is a tad too dark for my taste.

And for your top worst list, I would include Jurassic Park II also

His worst: Sugarland Express -- I hated that movie. Especially after Duel.

Two of his best: Raiders of the Lost Ark; Minority Report (yes, I really liked that movie).

One of his best which I don't like all that much, but can see how other people would probably pick it as one of his best: E.T.

Munich was good, but I wouldn't say it was his best, although I haven't seen too many of his more serious films.

    Hook wasn't that bad.

    I couldn't watch 1941.

I would have listed Goonies, Jurassic Park III, and a bunch of other movies as his worst, but he didn't direct those. If you look through his credits on IMDB, he's been associated with some real carp (Batteries not included? I don't even remember that movie except as a videotape in the cut-out bin).

I would have listed Poltergeist amongst my favourites that I thought he had done, but again, he only produced it.

I really liked Minority Report and Catch Me if you can. Finally saw Schindler's List last week, very good, but not his best, and over rated on too many movie lists in my opinion. Acting was great though, for the most part.

Saving Private Ryan and Jurassic Park have to be there though.

    Thanks Guys.

I also wished some of his work that he did for TV be compile in DVD box set as there are some gems there also. For example, a Columbo episode he directed one could quickly recognize his handy work the way camera moves, and story line is shot.

There is just something special about that episode, and other TV series he did.

Spielberg has more films in my top 100 than any other director.

    1) Schindler's List - with relative ease. *****
    2) Raiders of the Lost Ark. - The best action adventure movie of its kind made. *****
    3) E.T. An homage to Casablanca and the Christ story - the best family boy and his dog(alien) movie made) *****
    4) Jaws - the best shark movie made - ok so not a lot of great Shark movies - best fish movie! *****
    5) Saving Private Ryan - war is hell and few make it look that way - this does. ****1/2

    6) Munich - also in my top 100 near the bottom. ****

    He's made some flops

    War of the Worlds *1/2 / *****
    1941 **/*****
    Hook **/*****
    Jurassic Park 2 **/*****

And most of the rest were nice B-movies
Catch Me if You Can ***1/2
    Jurassic Park ***
    Terminal ***
    Minority Report ***1/2
    AI **1/2
