    Jim Carrey Funniest Film

Jim Carrey is well known for his physical comedy and outrageous slap stick, but he also managed to star in few dramatic role that critics loved. Also few clunkers along the way.

Dumb and Dumber is probably his most famous comedy movie, but (IMO) Jeff Daniels performance left alot to be desired and some scenes gross me out. So have to go with Ace Ventura:When Nature Calls as my favorite movie as Jim is at his best in over the top performance routine.

    Ranked by Date:

Ace VenturA: Pet Detective (1993): His first lead role in a movie.

The Mask (1994): A fun comedy super hero film with great F/X.

Dumb and Dumber (1994): A cross counrty adventure with a moped.

Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls (1995): Jim Carrey is at home with his crazy faces and antics as Ace Ventura in Africa.

The Cable Guy (1996): Probably one of my least favorite Carrey film as his character was too dark.

Liar Liar (1997): The court room scenes are hilarious.

The Truman Show (1998): His first dramatic role and he excels.

Man On The Moon (1999): Story of late comedian Andy Kaufman (Taxi TV show). Danny Devito also star who was in the Taxi.

Me, Myself & Irene (2000): Back to physical comedy after a series of dramatic roles.

Bruce Almighty (2003): When God goes on vacation, he leave Carrey in charge.

You forgot 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind'. That in my opinion was his best film. That being said I voted for his 2nd best film "The Truman Show".

    Thanks for comment GB

I had very hard time with this thread since Carrey not only have few comedy, he also stared in couple of serious dramas too. So didn't know which direction to go (funniest or the best movie).

'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' seem to be his most serious movie up to date, and the one I have not seen.

You should. It's a great movie, and he really does a good job in it.

    Cool

    The mask was CARREY'S best.
Because it had CAMERON Diaz in it, and, as usual, she stole the show.

    Me, Myself & Irene

The best written comedy he's been in and besides Ace Ventura, his least overtly sentimental one.

Man On The Moon was a huge disappointment for me. Poorly directed, poorly edited and poorly paced, much of this movie was just a rehash of things we already knew. I was a huge Andy Kaufman fan as a kid, and was stoked about this movie. While Carrey did a great job recreating Kaufman's bits, I think he was just going through the motions elsewhere. The script was so stiff, so overtly sentimental, as if it were about a sweetheart of a guy, instead of a guy whose entire career was about pissing people off. How can you make such a schmultzy movie about a guy who hated schmultz?
Repost this on your wall if you love Jesus.
