I spent the weekend with my now very pregnant wife (due in Jan) watching two very good movies this weekend. First up was "Pirates of the Carribean" which was somewhat of a surprise for me. I didn't expect to enjoy this one nearly as much as I did and the DVD was fantastic! Both audio and video were top notch.

Second up was "Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" extended edition. Well, let me just say that if you're ever looking to burn-off an evening, this is the way to do it! At almost 3.5 hours, it's a very long movie but it managed to keep my wifes interest throughout (which is saying something...she tends to fall asleep during most movies that I find entertaining). Also, the DTS track on this disc is phenomenal!

The rest of the week will include a trip to the theatre tonight to catch the newest Lord of the Rings with my niece and nephew and I've rented "Bottle Rockets" for later this week. Hopefully, those will be worthwhile!
