    "The Equalizer"

Good but not great film that plays to Denzel's strength. Competent direction and a good script allows Denzel's character to fully develop. You see him struggle with the "angels of his better nature"... not wanting to do violence yet compelled to. But because he's fully developed, his choice to use violence is rational, reasoned and measured. I like the fact that he eschews guns for more imaginative methods of human dispatch. He also isn't "superhuman", he gets cut... he bleeds. You could do a lot worse than this one.

If you remember, there was 80's TV show called The Equalizer. If the movie is based on TV show, it is a punisher type charactor

Went this weekend to see it and it was what is expected from the previews. A man trying to just live his life far away from his past, but when he see people being taken advantage of or abuse something deep inside re-emerges.

If you liked Man on Fire then this is right up your alley.
