Have not seen this 1969 movie for over 20 years and after watching it recently, I was kind of disappointed. Paul Newman put in a good performance, but Robert Redford was not up to par in this movie. I think this was his first break in major movie, and he tried too hard at it as not to be noticable.

This movie is just a long chase scenes with a bit of comedy thrown in. In the tradition of western films, this movie lacks substance. And what was Paul Newman scene riding a bicycle with the song Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head all about??
