I really have no idea what to look for in cables. Here are my main questions.

-Is gauge important?
-If so, why?
-How do I know what my gauge should be?
-What do cable statistics mean?
-Does the length of my speaker cables matter?
-How does changing the power cord affect performance?
-What are the differences between various connectors?
