Wireworld. They were super cheap. The USB was $75.00 on Audiogon and the ABS/EBU was $61.75 on The Cable Co. There are a lot of Wireworld users on Audio Aficionado and I figured I'd test the waters and see what the fuss is all about. Mr. P's Clarus's look nice, but that is some serious coin. Also, I see you have a Silnote cable, what kind is it. I was looking at my wires for when my USB converter comes in and saw that I was still running my stock power cord on my DAC. I did some research and decided to pick up the Silnote Poseidon GL Reference power cord.

My Silnote is an RCA IC- Morpheus Refrence II I picked it up on Audiogon as a show demo for $200pr. The list price is about $800pr but that is bogus because the company routinely has quote show demo's for $200pr on audiogon. They are made well and sound good but I would never pay more than what I paid for them.

Wow $1195. That is a very good cable. Where are they in your system? My Silnote was on Audiogon also as a show special. They said list was $299 and I got it for $99. I'll try the Wireworld cables and then maybe some Transparent or Audioquest from my local HiFi shop to compare.

Wire World makes some decent stuff. If you try some Transparent let us know how that goes. The local shop here didn't have two XLR's in stock in same level and the Cable Co. didn't think them or MIT would be a good match in my system, they push their Synergistic.

The cables run from my DAC to my preamp. There is no way the cables are worth that much. They sound a little better than my BJC's but not by much. The Silnote gear is over priced and I think that it is a gimmick when they list them as show specials or demo's. I think that very few people buy them at their list price. The guy mainly sells them on Audiogon.

Once I buy a new DAC with XLR's I will probably get another pair of the Cardas XLR's or maybe a used pair of Cardas Clear's for their supposed warm sound. For a power cord I am going to try a Cullen. I know a guy on the AC forum that has one and likes the difference it made. $130 for a 6' cable is about my limit for a Power Cord that I am skeptical about. I know people can hear differences but I have to hear it for myself to believe it. Patrick Cullen recommended the Gold series power cord for my system and for some added warmth.

The Cullen could make an improvement, some hear differences with Pangea whic h is cheap and my first ear opening power cord was a Transparent at $200.00. It's just that if some one wants to see if a difference really exists buying the cheapest product isn't really the best way to find out. When you consider just the price of high quality copper $134.00 seems pretty cheap. I'm not saying you have to spend a fortune but buy something of reason with a return policy. This is just general whether power cords or regular interconnects. I have no experience with digital cables, much, but I hear from many the USB can make a nice improvement. I've tried a few different coaxial cables when I had a DAC and I really could not hear any difference there. I was a skeptic on power cords but when I put that first Transparent in my system and started putting it on other components in my system I went to the shop and bought a cord for every piece that could be swapped out.
