    New MIT Speaker Cables Arrived

On Friday my new MIT AVT1 speaker cables arrived. These are some serious cables. You don't just drop these behind your gear and not worry about where they land. These really call for being placed carefully behind your cabinet. They say to give them what is called the 2/2 burn in. In two days they'll be at 75% performance and in two weeks they'll be at 100%. I'll talk about performance at that time to be fair. Pictures are in my photo gallery, as I usually have no luck getting pictures in my post.

I for one will be interested in your reports. An audio reviewer that I enjoy reading uses MIT as his reference. Each time I read a review of MIT's I think I would like to give them a try. Enjoy and I hope they elevate your system.

Thanks John, I know the AntiCables have elevated your system and that's what we all hope for. Everytime we make a change to our systems, especially when it's a major change, we hope for sonic improvement.

I have also always been interested in MIT cables. That was the main brand Soundex sold when I bought much of my gear but it was out of my range at that time, I have seen them as large as vacuum cleaner hosed hooked up to Wilson Grand Slams.

Not sure what you mean about the placement, please elaborate. I can tell you that my Synergistic cables are real tough to place. (stiff) They are also about 15' long and I need about 5.

Tell us more after your ears break in for two weeks.

What I meant about the placement was, usually after I have the cables hooked to the amp I just sort of feed the cable behind my equipment and don't really worry about where it lies. Then when I get to the end I hook them up to the speaker. With the MIT cables because they are so big (3/4" dia. ) I have to actually place the cable behind my equipment so that it lies on the floor.

The network boxes look quite heavy and substantial. I would hate for them to fall on another component or a toe.
