    Technics SL-1900 opinion needed!

I just picked up a superb, never-used Technics SL-1900 turntable complete w/ spare needle. I was wondering if anyone knows much about it. Reliability? Sound? Overall quality? It looks to me like it should be a great, blue-collar turntable: gets lot of use, decent sound, sturdy.

    Anyone w/ expert advice?

    Technics SL-1900

http://www.vintagetechnics.com/turntables.htmseems like a good starter tt. with its detachable headshell, you could get a couple more headshells and have more than one ready to swap out and listen to. the at440ML or the shure m97xe will put you in good sound for a long time. having both could turn into am minor education.

this iis where youll get the best prices on those items:
