I am pleased to report that the recordings of the same albums easily demonstrate an improvement with the new motor installed. The recording with the old motor was interesting in that I was used to the small speed variations. Images moved slightly as the loose mounted motor moved so it was like a reed in the wind. Vocals were less intelligible. Everything was just a little phasey or hazy whichever is the better term.

The recording using the new motor gave rock solid imaging. When a blues singer was centered on the stage and one of the musicians was commenting on what was being sung you could tell what they were singing/speaking. Since nothing was moving the entire soundstage was imaging well and it was easier to follow the various musicians.

Thinking something sounds better and having two recordings as proof that the tweak was well worth it makes this tweaker quite happy.
