    LP to CD, beginner info

    That was one of the articles I read recently before setting up my system to record LPs digitally.

    He is one of several who recommended the Audacity software. But I found it overly complex and I had trouble adjusting line levels. I had to set line-in at <1 in order to avoid clipping.

    The CD Wave Editor is easier for me and default line levels are more adjustable. Also much easier to seperate the individual tracks in the CD Wav Editor.

    The M-audio is also another alternative in the LP>CD conversions. It streamlines a lot of the process and usually has a high quality DAC/ADC stage than the onboard sound card of most PCs.
