LINN SONDEK Lp-12 preliminary review (Long) COMMENT

ouch! you guys get touchy about yer stuff. if it sounds good, its good. proving it may be impossible. being happy with whatcha got is a biggie ya know?

    my system:http://cgi.audioasylum.com/systems/588.html.

one of the TTs is a pioneer PLL1000a, the exact same tt as a phase linear 8000a. it has received some nice kudos but it isnt in the same park with the vpi, but then its easy and versatile to use. criticize me. shoot me. i like using it. it sounds pretty good.

linn tables are FUSSY as hell and can be daunting to use. getting the best sound from them isnt always easy. the project and music hall and rega tables are all good values, especially in comparison with a linn.

howbout we all enjoy what we got and not denigrate others for their choices. most of us are on an improvement path all the time in one way or another. i drive a saturn, used to have an escort wagon.....
    ...regards...tr

A Hyundai Elantra for me. A car is a car but a turntable is MUSIC! And what's a turntable without a few thousand LP's to play on it, I ask you? Put that all together and you got a...Hyundai Elantra for the next two years. Then maybe a Saturn. Hell, I owned a Chevette in the early 1980's then a Honda Civic when they looked like a box on wheels. Everyone laughed... until they heard my turntable.

and that was all I wanted to say on the matter - if you are refering the post below which it seems you are.

Actually I wanted to say even less than that - merely that Project TT's are good value and can sound very good indeed.

Sometimes things just get out of hand...
