Nah, I think he's quite happy for now. If he ends up like I was at his age, however, I suspect over time that will change. He'll get separates. I went through lots of gear until I was 21 or so - where by that time I had a wide exposure to what was available and a better understanding of my own priorities.

To tell you the truth, there is so much more really good gear available today than thirty years ago. Folks talk about the death of two channel and the high end, but from a consumer's standpoint, I just don't see that yet.
