    kenwood.

Then there is the backup, backup system. For the kenwood lovers, A KR-9600, driving a set of JBL L-100s on A, and a nice set of pioneer HPM-100s on B. And of course a pioneer 25 disc cd player.

You got really good stuff and everything is vintage. By looking at the picture I wish I could have at least some of the stuff! They must rock!

Looks great, I see in your later post you plan to run some JBL L100. Nice choice, I have a set of L110. Personally I love them and use them in my listening room right now.

Just curious. How do your TT's stabilize sitting atop those speakers? No sonic interference or do you just have them there for looks? Just curious, not trying to burst your bubble.

Looks totally awesome!! I could never get away with that much power in my house. Thanks for sharing man...

Here's a great site for "audiophile" tunes. Been buying my vinyl and some supplies from these guys. Excellent shipping rates. It looks like they have just over 3000 SACD titles right now. Is that enough?

Thanks everybody, Both TT are hooked up and running, no problems at all. And thank you for the link, great site. More than enough titles for me, I will give em a try.The macs are only rated at 50 w.p.c., but tested out at 68 and 72 respectively. When running horns, you better have the cleanest source you can find, or those horns will let you know it immediately. 50 w.p.c. of clean power is more than enough to make the votts come to life, and they get LOUDDDDD

Thanks again, I run the JBL L-100s and PIONEER HPM-100 on a KENWOOD KR-9600. To my ears, they are real good match on the big kenwood. I have both pairs tuned to where you couldnt tell them apart if you close your eyes.

Those are nice, since you like the pioneers, have you heard a set of HPMs yet? And you seem to like BIG woofers, maybe a big set of Altecs would float yer boat. I know they do mine

I know the HPM very well! I buy and sell electronics so I have had a lot of speakers and receivers through my hands.

Man it looks like your room is pretty filled with gear. Most of it looks like its before my time in this hobby but thats not a bad thing since the 70's produced some good pieces of equipment. the only truly older piece in my system is a Adcom 545 series 2 power amp from the eary 90's and a pair of highly modified Paradigm monitor 7's from the mid 90's. thats about as old as my system goes but what the hey I figured I would throw my 2 cents in the pot as well since it seems like everyone else has. Good idea for a thread though. Lots of responses.

    Nice speakers!
As I understand the general practice of stacking the top speaker should be inverted in part to create more separation between the large woofers. You might want to give that a try and see if you notice a difference in SQ.

Thanks again, some of this gear is almost as old as me. The mcintosh preamp mx-110 is from 1965, tubes. The last tube preamp mcintosh made. The amp, a mcintosh 2505, is the first ss amps that they made, designed to sound like tubes. The 2nd system also mcintosh a mx-115 preamp of which there were less than 1,100 made. powered by a mcintosh mc-250, a no frills version of the 2505. All hooked to old Altec speakers, that have been rebuilt. Too bad they dont build stuff like this anymore.

Well if you like JENSENS, here ya go. Set of jensen heathkits, circa 1955. I just sold these last month. These old speakers sound great, for a 2 way, older than me.
