    Realistic Super Tweeters

I was wondering what everyone thinks of these tweeters. I use them in almost every pair of speakers I have and I just love them. I bought mine way back in the 80's when they were 19.99 a peice. I see buyers getting anywhere from $40.00 to $200.00 a pair on ebay. Which I think is just nuts.

sounds like a nice tweeter. perhaps factoring in inflation they are selling them cheaper today? but its subjective i suppose. could you give more info on these tweeters. couldnt give you much feed back on this though.

I bought a pair back in 1978. Used them for a few years with a pair of Pioneer Project 100A's. They don't have a lot of output, but add a little something extra to the sound. A little more air I guess. After trading away the Pioneers I used them in a DIY set of speakers. 25 years later, the speaker cabinets were destroyed by a flood. These Super Tweeters and the Genesis inverted dome tweeters were the only components worth salvaging. They are still in use in another pair of DIY speakers. They are never lacking for high end and in some ways have a better sound than my main system.
I think the price on these have boomed because so many DIYers like them. You can't really use them as your only tweeters though. They are meant to increase your speakers range. They can't tow the whole load on their own.
