    mcs Modular component systems?

    any one ever hear of them before? i am wondering how there quality is. i am new to vintage stuff and found a MCS 3245 and matching EQ. says 70wpc. i don't know much else about it. thanks.

    I'm listening thru an MCS 3830 Integrated...

    ...as I type this. Small, light, cheap [$20 at a garage sale] and sounds great! I would not hesitate to buy buy more MCS gear, but the speaks may not be so good. The tuner I bought with the amp [all for $20] was very good, but the matching speaks were utter dreck.

    MCS Brand of Components

    I believe that MCS was the name used for the J.C. Penney's house line of components.

    Not sure who the real OEMs were, but probably one of the major Japanese manufacturers of the period.
