    Looking for speaker suggestion for Rotel RX-504

    My Rotel RX-504 is need of new speakers. I have the original speakers, but they foam rubber around the edges of the speaker cones is cracking and breaking up.

    According to the owners manual, it is rated at 40W per channel at 8ohms.

    I'm looking for a nice pair of speakers, but I don't think it makes sense to buy anything that dramatically exceeds the performance of this old solid state receiver.

    Got any suggestions?
