    CD players and analog receivers
Ok folks, here's the first clue that I don't know much: Can you hook a CD player recorder to an analog receiver? For instance if I can find wear I put my old Fisher 500, would a cd player work with it? Thanks in advance. S.O.F.

Yes, it will work fine. A CD player converts the output signal to analog. If you have a CD recorder it will also work fine, it will convert any analog input to digital. Hook the recorder up like you would a cassette recorder. A CD player you can hook up to any AUX input.

    Easy as pie.
As others have said, just connect up a basic audio interconnect (red/white plugs are customary) from the analog/audio out jacks on the CD player (usually red/white jacks as well) to any input line level input on our receiver or, to put it simply, to any input except the phono input. If you use that, it will sound distorted.

    BTW, nice receiver.
