Excuses, excuses, excuses. Talk to us when actually have a life. (Living vicariously through your audio system does not count.) Nothing unusual about college grads moving back in with the parents, but most of us who did also SAVED our money so that we could MOVE OUT as soon as possible! It's so comical reading your claims about hard you have to work and how you don't have much money, yet here you are constantly dumping every last euro into your audio system.

Fact of the matter is that if you actually had to foot the bill for your own living expenses, you sure as hell wouldn't be on this forum bragging about how much you spend on your audio system (yet crying poverty all the time) and how price is no object (yet claiming that you're not rich and have to work oh so hard for everything) and how we're all jealous (yet no one gives a rat's ass about your system as much as you like to shove it in everyone's face on post after post), blah blah blah. No shame in living at home, but it's pretty disingenuous for you to bash people for living on a budget and balancing their financial priorities when you've never had to.

Interesting that you would keep commenting about how people gang up on you. No one's ganging up on you. YOU bring everything upon yourself with your constant rants, personal attacks, lies, schoolboy attitude (and oldman's cynicism), and crybaby whining. If you don't understand that by now, then you got nobody to blame but yourself. The reaction that your posts attract is not only expected, but you seem to want any kind of attention, regardless of whether it's negative. Then again, the immaturity espoused in your posts is more indicative of a constant need to be the center of attention.

But, PLEASE don't go away! With Lexmark3200 now banned from the site, the perspective of life from the parents' basement is sadly lacking on this board. And the comic relief that your all too predictable pimping for attention brings to the board just makes our day!

I agree with you on that "there is no reason hi-fi must equal hi-priced". For me, I work really hard, and when I hear something I think can improve my enjoyment and I can afford it after all the other expenses have been taken care off-I buy it. I make no apologies for it. I do think that pride of ownership also comes into it.
For instance I am not into cars at all. I drive a 12 year old 4WD and it does the job. I know that a Range Rover will provide more of everything and will give me pride of ownership. But I don't seek it for 4 wheels.

    Peace

High Price does not equal High Sound Quality. Please quote me where i made this statemnet untrue? But the fact remains, a 5000$ speaker system (regardless of brand) will never touch a State of the Art system in no area, whatsoever. And its cool that some like their Paradigm and Yamah equipment, but to even mention it in the same ballpark as the likes of true High Fifelity is a sin.

I work hard and listen to music at least 9hrs a day!

Do i need to justify myself for having a mega buck system?
Lots of music but not enough time for it all

I'm the same way. I'd be perfectly happy driving my chevy cavalier for many years to come with no desire to ever change until it clunks out. However I am always eager to upgrade stuff on my home theater, or to buy a grand piano.

BTW, yamaha grand pianos are bright just like their receivers

    Hi Bjorn,

I bought my car when I started my own Business 12 years ago and somehow it has some sentimental value attached to it (went to my very first booking in it). I think they will have to pry it from me.
I would love to learn the piano but took up Guitar instead and only so many hours in the day.

    Peace

Oh, if only some of that money dumped into your system could have bought a clue!

You claim that you don't equate high price with high sound quality, yet the next sentence, you say EXACTLY that! clueless

No one's making you justify yourself for what you own. It's when you go on these idiotic attacks, use your system to justify behaving like a dumbass, and equate the validity of people's opinions with the system that they own (which in your estimation would of course make your opinion the most important of all since you view your system as superior to everybody else's) that you get the well-deserved abuse that you take on this board. And your condescending attitude towards people who take price and budget into consideration is pretty laughable when the only reason that you can afford the gear that you own is because someone else pays your bills and keeps a roof over your head, and you don't have any other hobbies, social life, dates/girlfriends, or responsibilities.
