Personally, I'd go with one of the many dock's available and connect to a home stereo but for something you can pull out of a box and use straight away, nothing else comes close to the iFi. Every other all-in-one solution I've listened to ranges from horrible to passable for casual listening - all of which tend to be far overpriced relative to performance.

Yea, those things are marketed towards users who are traveling all the time and want something that passes as a stereo in their hotel rooms. You can't expect much from them, nor will you recieve much. You simply cannot get much dynamics frim twin 1" drivers. You can go to any electronics store and pick up a headphone to a/v jacks style connector and that does the trick.
