Tonsil - white vans from Poland?
I was wondering if anyone had heard good or bad stuff about a speaker manufacturer from Poland called Tonsil:

    http://www.tonsil.com.pl/english/home.htm

The product line seems pretty large and apparently they have quite a bit of big name investors like Pioneer. I know that labor in Poland is fairly inexpensive, but these speakers are competing at the price point of Streem & Fluance. I was wondering if they might have that Northern European engineering quality, w/o the upturned-nose prices...

    Hey NF....
We miss you at Fave Films. I took a look at the website. Never seen this product line before. I know I don't much like some of their subs though... specs look kinda weak or lack of specs look kinda weak.

    Fave Films? Refresh my memory.

Regarding the Tonsil speakers, they are starting to creep up here & there on the auction and second hand sites, so I'm going to guess there is a US distributor.... Yeah the website is a bit weak, but then again so are Fluance & Streem. And frankly I have yet to find someone who's heard Fluance or Streem and liked 'em.

The main difference being that Tonsil seems to be designed, manufactured, and assembled entirely in Eastern Europe whereas the other two are from the Far East. Some other stuff coming from Poland since the end of socialism seems to be pretty decent (turntables and a few other hi-fi items). And typically most of the stuff coming from Scandinavia is pretty top notch too (well, with the exception of Ikea).
