I'm thinking of a Yamaha 657 or 659, how do you like your 659?

well schootch if you could give us a ball park budget, since "not wallet breaking" doesn't give us to much to work with. thanks
that makes as much sense as a drunken mongoose playing the piano

Not sure your definition of wallet breaking but Circuit City has the following for about $180 a pair

    Boston Acoustics Bookshelf Speaker (CR57B)
    BSA CR57B

Sound is decent especially for their size and they should match well with your other BA speakers

I would personally start fresh. Get a new set of matching front bookshelf types for LCR and possibly matching types for the surrounds as well.
