:confused: looking for the best sub i can get for under $700.It will be in a 20 x 20 room

I have the Velodyne CHT-10 that I Paid $700 cdn with tax and think its pretty good. Don't know if they still make this line. The last time I checked their website they had a new series out which target various budgets.
Compared with my Cerwin Vega LW-10" this sub is way better with a very clean sonic boom. My room is 11'x 25' and this is more than enough with only 1/3 of the volume.

In addition to the Velodynes, some of the usual suspects in that price range also include:

Paradigm PW-2200
Hsu VTF-3 (mail order)
SVS 20-39 or 20-46 PCi or PB1 (mail order)
Adire Sadhara, Daeva, Rava, or Dharman (mail order)

Lots of other good options in your price range as well.

Not to mention the Rocket UFW-10 (of which I'll have one in a couple, three days). FYI, the SVS models are the 25-31, 20-39, and 16-46. I currently have a 20-39CSi coupled with a Samson S700 that performs excellent.
